BridgeNet implements proprietary middleware that works along with a client's internal applications. The middleware monitors multiple shipments going to a single destination, qualifying them as Hundredweight shipments.
Inbound shipping information (future inventory) is transmitted to the Carrier from the Vendor. Hourly updates are transferred to BridgeNet Solutions Servers from the Carrier system. Data is then sent automatically to the client's system via phone, fax, XML, or by web, allowing the client to view inventory reports within any department before inventory arrives.
Merge in Transit allows the client to process orders from clients with inventory at multiple locations. The orders pass through BridgeNet middleware to the client, based on destination. The order is not sent to the warehouse until the day of shipment to ensure all of the packages are delivered together.
Vendor shipping records based on client orders are sent to the Carrier. The data is transferred to a BridgeNet server for inventory compilation and control. The server then sends the data to the proper client location, allowing them to view incoming items and packages.
