What is Personal Data?
Personal Data refers to any information relating to you as an identified or identifiable individual. Examples of Personal Data include a name, physical address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, social security number, or a credit card number.
What Personal Data do we collect about you?
BridgeNet collects only the Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you utilize the “Contact Us” feature on the Site and enter your name and email address. Where you purchase or subscribe for paid services, you might also decide to provide credit card and related information for billing purposes.
BridgeNet may also automatically collect other types of Personal Data as you use Site, including technical information (such as your IP address or mobile device ID), or non-Personal Data (such as your browser type, usage information, the parts of the Site you have visited, which links you have clicked and other information about how you interact with the Site). Non-Personal Data information is anonymous, and is not associated with your Personal Data, although it may be associated with other pieces of anonymous information about you.
What do we use your Personal Data for?
Your Personal Data may be used in one of the following ways:
- To contact you in response to a message received from you via the “Contact Us” feature on the Site, and subsequently regarding service offerings we believe might be relevant to you. These communications may include notices regarding changes to our policies and service updates.
- To e-mail you newsletters or tips about how to utilize our services, inform you of product updates, or notify you about our own special offers.
Non-Personal Data may be used in one of the following ways:
- To enable us to generate aggregate data about Site traffic and Site interaction.
- To make improvements to the Site and services.
- To inform potential partners about the size and characteristics of our audience.
Do we disclose any information to other parties?
BridgeNet does not sell or trade your Personal Data to outside parties. We may disclose your Personal Data to vendors who help us operate the Site, conduct our business or provide the services to you, such as credit card processors, e-mail marketing platform providers, or data sub-processors necessary to the performance of our services. All such partners are bound to keep your information confidential.
We may disclose Personal Data to local, state, or federal law enforcement officials when we believe in good faith that the law requires such action, or when required to do so by order of a court or other compulsory legal process. We may also share Personal Data in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or to prevent harm to the Site.
We may use or distribute information about you and your use of the services in ways that do not reveal Personal Data. For example, we do not currently, but may choose to provide anonymous usage data or summary characteristics to our audience to potential partners.
We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries, and unrelated service providers in the operation of the Site and may disclose information to them in the course of our use of their services. For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Site. This may involve the hosting of data, including personal information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. We take care to use only service providers that we believe are reputable, have equivalent or better security safeguards in place than us, and able to live up to our and your expectations, including about the handling of confidential information. These companies are authorized to use your Personal Data only as necessary to provide these services to us.
How secure is your personal information?
The security of our user data is very important to us. We store your information using industry-compliant encryption technology. When you enter information, such as your name or email address (you will never be asked or required to provide sensitive or specialized categories of Personal Data) on our web form, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). The encryption process protects your information, by scrambling it before it is sent to us from your computer. Once BridgeNet receives your transmission, we make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our system.
Cookies are small files that a website or one of its service providers transfers to your computer’s storage device via your Web browser (if your browser is configured to permit this) that enable its systems to recognize your browser and store certain information. We use “cookies” to collect information and improve our services. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your local device. We currently do not “persistent cookies” to save your user ID and password for future logins to the Service. We may use “session ID cookies” to enable certain features of the Site, to better understand how you interact with the Site and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Service.
Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer and can only be read by a web server of the website that issued the cookie to you.
Depending on your web browser, you may have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers default to accept cookies but enable you to configure settings to decline them. For further information about disabling cookies you can visit www.allaboutcookies.org. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other features of the Services that depend on cookies.
BridgeNet maintains internal logs of usage of the Site. Logs include information such as IP (Internet Protocol) address, browser type and version, and computer operating system. BridgeNet uses logs mainly for internal systems administration and diagnostic purposes, and to detect improper use of the Site.
Other privacy policies to which you may be subject
Occasionally, we may include or offer third-party products or services on the Website that include links to external websites. For example, advertisements, promotional offers, and other links on the BridgeNet Website or included in e-mail from BridgeNet, may bring you to external web pages not controlled by BridgeNet. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies and terms of service, which will govern the use of any Personal Data that you provide. While BridgeNet is not responsible for the use of your information by third parties, we nevertheless seek to protect our users and the integrity of our Website, and we therefore invite your feedback about these sites.
